Sneak Peek – Motivational Light DVD
For the last couple of months I’ve been working countless hours on an instructional DVD about lighting. This week we entered the final post processing stage and I’m very thrilled to see all the hard work come together in the editing suite. The DVD should be available worldwide in a couple of weeks. In the mean time, let’s entertain you with some outtakes/bloopers:
The idea of doing a DVD has been ripening for about two years now. I didn’t want to start it head over heels. Instead I’ve been writing and rewriting the script many times just to make sure that it’s a useful addition to the lighting videos that are already out there.
Here are already a couple of shots we made for the DVD.

More info will follow soon!
ready to order one
Really cool, can’t wait for the DvD to be out
Dat ziet er veelbelovend uit, Bert,
Schitterende zwartwitfoto’s !

I love your work. I have been checking it out for over a year now. If you ever come las vegas NV to do a workshop please let me know.

Looking forward to this!
Hey Bert,
Nice work.
My congratulations to you and to all who were participated in the project.
I think it’s the first time I hear Bert speaking in Dutch
I’m waiting for the final result!
Looking forward to getting a copy of this Bert; I’m guessing there’s gonna be some outtakes at the end..lol
All the best to you,
Glyn
Thx all, I promise it will be worth the wait.
Well done on the DVD release, the shots you posted up were brilliant. Everytime I see your blog I want to improve my lighting techniques more and more. I hope I can get hold of your DVD from here in Japan.
I’ll buy this for sure! I’ve been watching Bert videos for over two years, since the second confessions episode.
He is amazing, and it was very nice to hear him speak in dutch, cause i was used to his English accent. the main language on the dvd will be english right?
Keep Inspiring
Big thanks,
The DVD will be available as a download, so you should be able to get hold of it from pretty much anywhere in the world.
@Lourenço: The explaining is all in (my version of) English. Only some swearing and bloopers are in Dutch
CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS!!. I’m sure there’ll be quite a lot of eye-openers for me again, as always. Any idea yet about the price?
And when are there going to be be more/new LIME workshops?
Peter
Nice! And don’t forget do talk to David Hobby about your dvd. I’m sure many of the strobist readers will be interested on this.
Is that Mr. Van Impe on a cameo? will he be appearing on the dvd?
Keep inspiring
Kan ik me al inschrijven / alvast bestellen? Ben erg benieuwd!
@Peter: I can tell you that the DVD will be very affordable compared to similar stuff. New workshops will be announced this week.
@Lourenço: I sure hope David will like the DVD and mention it to his readers. And yes that’s Pieter doing a Cameo. He will be very present in the video but you won’t see much of him (as he shot most of the video footage).
@Clim: not yet, but it will be available very soon
That’s great to hear!
I hope it reaches Asian countries.
whoops!
I didn’t see your post about it being downloadable. Great idea! Thanks!
@Pepin: You’ll be able to get it pretty much everywhere in the world as long as you have a credit card and an internet connection
I can’t wait for the DVD to come
Dear bert,
Great news. I for one followed your blog as much as i can and on youtube. You are my inspiration. I cant wait for the DVD to come out. Though I wonder whether is it going to be sold in Malaysia or not. Do advise.
Thank you.
Well Bert,
i’m glad that i did NOT bought your DVD. Your silly jokes, pathetic moves, spastic guestures cost valuable time, and time is money, my money if i had bought the DVD…
Nonetheless, your work is very professional, but as a teacher/tutor you are long way from home dude !
[...] the mean time, here’s a trailer for Bert’s new DVD ‘Motivational Light‘ to give you an idea of what’s in store… [...]
Nice work, keep it up
Dear Mr. Bert
My name is Pablo and I live in Northern California. I was deeply attracted to your visions
captured by your Art. I am beginning to start my Photo business and aspire to promote national and worldly Artists in their specialized field. I came across your Confessions of a Photographer episode on You Tube. Like yourself I love to capture images that dwell on the abnormal, surreal, and abstract. My fiancee and I are in the construction phases to launch our dream
studio. Until then,I have some of my photography at ArtistRising.com. . Keep up the great work!
Sincerely
